In spite of its small stature, the CPD W15 delivers a very deep, powerful yet clean and dry sound. The speaker cabinet is a classic-reflex design, 2x 15” driven by two independent PWM power stages, and has performance of the highest quality. What makes the CPD W15 unique are the highly durable long excursion speakers with 100 mm voice coils and reinforced cones. And for frequencies in the range of 40Hz the two ventilation ports have a large exponential cross-sectional contour that has particularly high efficiency and minimal distortion through minor losses at the tunnel openings. The CPD W15’s small size makes it especially useful for venues where little space on the stage is available, or where it must be integrated into a stage-portal. With the pole mount, the CPD W15 becomes an ideal stand base for most KS AUDIO CPD mid-high cabinets. When used as a low frequency extension in combination with the CPD 15 it brings the CPD 15 to the ideal height. Every component in the system also has the latest technology: a wide-range switch mode power supply with PFC, cold PWM power amplifiers, as well as digital signal processing with FIR filters. The rear mounted, separately housed, PWM Controller /amplifier operates without the need of a cooling fan thus avoiding the typical fan noise found in most self-powered systems. The electronically balanced analog and AES/EBU in/outs are equipped with XLR F+M connectors, with an active output. The unit is operated through a menu, using a digital rotary knob, and an LCD graphic display. All adjusted levels, filters, and delay-settings are permanently saved. Once more, KS AUDIO presents an improvement: Audio Over Ethernet direct from your console or PC into the active loudspeaker via the DANTE option! Furthermore, every Loudspeaker can be assigned an adjustable IP address, and over the same Network all functions of the system can be monitored and controlled with the KS REMOTE software. The speaker box construction is, like any KS AUDIO system, built from birch plywood with a polyurethane coating. Optionally, finish can be changed to any desired color from the RAL color charts. Integrated handles, M 20 threaded pole mount, M10 threaded rigging points, as well as a protective steel grill, with or without acoustic foam and 4 heavy-duty blue wheels on the back side, are all further features of this premium product.
