Among the KS systems, the SAT is one of the most successful - a concept that was developed 30 years ago, has often been copied and today represents the perfect example of a small PA with active mono subwoofer. This is why we created the SAT3 +SESSION - a product that leaves nothing to be desired for all users who are looking for the sound of a good HiFi system, require the live audibility of a PA and whose audience most often consists of a few hundred people. The CB 18 represents the core of these systems: an active subwoofer with bass-reflex cabinet and particularly large ports, equipped with an 18” ND speaker with 4” voice coil. This 1200W speaker even delivers low basses totally free of distortion. A second passive CW 18 woofer can be operated as an extension on a second integrated power stage in mono or even stereo mode. The two mid-high range amplifier channels of the subwoofer operate two C1 in SAT mode, or in SESSION mode one C12 in in bridge-mode operation - for highest sound pressure and precision! Switching between these modes is done automatically as soon as the controller recognizes a connected C12. With this combination of 10” or 12” ND and 1” ring radiator or 1,4” ND driver - both with HDSP horn - your performance leaves a strong impression on any audience! The DSP controller processes analog signals up to 20dBv as well as digital AES format, switchover is done automatically. For the C1 and C12 systems, special FIR filters were programmed to achieve a linear-phase and impulse-true distortion correction. All manually operated functions and additional filters can be controlled via USB by the KS REMOTE3 software. The 2000Wrms amplifier is embedded in the woofer cabinet in such a way that an easily accessible inclined front panel is formed on which the control elements do not protrude. This also ensures that the cooling for the three 2-channel PWM power stages can operate smoothly, which corresponds to the request of many customers not to use active cooling to avoid disturbing fan noise. As in all KS systems, the cabinet construction is made of birch multiplex. Due to its permanent PU coating it is insensitive to mechanical and chemical influences. Stand flange with M20 thread, stacking feet, protection grid and an optional transport protection cover with wheels are further features of this high-quality product.
